Eli Faen
Eli Faen

"Good vibrations."

The inspiration for this image came from a trip to India. During that time I took 7000 photos, and became fascinated with the colour and energy of the Hindu religion. I took a portrait of the Sadu (Hindu nomadic monk) in the beautiful mountain town of Mandu, and have been looking for an excuse to paint him ever since. The hindu basket seemed appropriate, as in the Hindu religion, with their countless gods and legends, more is more!

Eli was born in San Francisco to hippie parents in the year of the dragon, 1976. 4 years later he moved to Sydney, Australia, where he has been based ever since. Eli now divides his time between working in the paint & art departments on movies and TV shows, and painting for himself or on commissioned artworks.
