Global Surf Industries donated surfboards for 60 artists on Sydney’s Northern Beaches to paint. These boards were then auctioned for 2 great local charities. The Disabled Surfers Association and Bear Cottage. This was a very special event which ended up being a fantastic party with a cause. The event was attended by all those young and old from the surf industry and local community. Famous surf Industry faces, fashion and property moguls of Manly arrived in droves to bid along with the enthusiastic locals at the shoulder to shoulder fundraiser.

The event was attended by about 250 people. Their generosity was abundant with over $17,000 raised for the charities to assist with their ongoing works. Gary from DSA said “brilliant – it’s great to know that every cent raised goes to helping the disabled have a surf and enjoy life!”. Representatives from Bear Cottage were overwhelmed by the generosity of the community on what was a cold Wednesday night in Manly.
