Global Surf Industries appoints John O’Connor as Sales Rep for East Coast USA

Today marks the appointment of John O’Connor of Clearwater Florida as our Sales Rep for the East Coast USA. John has been working in the surf industry for a number of years now and is a well known and respected individual. We believe that with John’s involvement Global Surf Industries will become one of the key suppliers of surfboards to our selected retail partners.

John is excited to be coming on board and is keen to get into the market place to provide personalized service for Global Surf Industries. He is also very pleased with both the NSP and GSI’s Polyester board programs – Seven Shortboards, Blue Mini Longboards, Hybrids and Fun Shapes and Modern Longboards.

Global Surf Industries appointed as USA distributor of newsurfproject Surfboards

PUKALANI, MAUI, HI, October 24, 2002 -
Bruce Hansen, Managing Director newsurfproject Hawaii, LLC. is pleased to announce that Global Surf Industries, Inc. of California will be the official importer of newsurfproject surfboards in the mainland USA. Launched in the summer of 2002 NSP has been a hit in Hawaii, Australia and Europe.

The newsurfproject is a line of specialty surfboards aimed at beginners and recreational surfers. The current product line consists of seven boards constructed with top-sheet, thermoforming technology in shortboard sizes: 5'10" & 6'6", funboard sizes 7'6", 7'10" & 8'6" and 9'2" & 10'2" classic longboards. Global Surf Industries complete major shareholding transaction.

Cobra International today completed the acquisition of a major shareholding in Global Surf Industries. This strategic alliance sees Global Surf Industries become the worldwide sales, marketing and distribution arm of Cobra International for their polyester surfboard program. This venture does not effect any existing distribution agreements with Cobra International.

Cobra International is the only surfboard manufacturer who has obtained the ISO 9002 rating. The extremely stringent ISO rating is an internationally recognized certification assuring our customers of consistency and reliability by focusing on quality control within the manufacturing process.
