GSI and Cobra International acquire 3DM industrial shaping machine.

We are please to announce the completion of the installation and testing phase of this machine. Manufactured in the USA by 3DM, the machine can cut boards at lightning speed; this machine adds further resources to what is undoubtabledy the best Surfboard manufacturing facility in the world. Two test boards were cut and finished in less ten minutes, and the two up machine allows two boards to be cut simultaneously.

The machine utilizes the 3D shapes software. The software is currently used by some high profile surfboard shapers in the US. Cobra's technical team have been quick to learn and implement the software, creating a back catalogue of their current range of masters.

To our knowledge Cobra is the only surfboard manufacturer in the world currently producing surfboards in an ISO9002 certified facility, the 3DM machine will only add to both the effeciency and professional quality range of boards Cobra and GSI produce for the market.Click here to see video footage of the machine in action. Garret Wiseth - Appointed to Customer Service Manager USA position.

Global Surf Industries today is pleased to announce that Garret Wiseth has started in this newly created position. Garret's first days on the job will be spent travelling to Cobra International's manufacturing plant in Thailand learning as much about the product as possible and then to visit the GSI Australian Office in Sydney before returning to Campbell CA where the GSI office is based.

Garret's work history has always revolved around the action sports industry. He has spent time working with Revo, Bolle, Serengetti and Wig Wam over the past ten years. Garret is also a very keen global surfer with time spent in a few of the pacific islands as well as Mexico and Australia.

Garret's appointment and GSI's announcement that they will open a third Warehouse facility in New York City this year are further evidence of GSI's commitment to giving their customers the best service possible.

East Coast Sales Director - John O'Connor becomes a shareholder.

Global Surf Industries today issued John O'Connor with his first allotment of shares under their employee milestone awards program. John has been instrumental in helping GSI achieve its goals in this our first year of trading in the USA. In line with GSI's strategy to engage long term commitments on all levels John is very pleased to now have some ownership in the company.
