MANLY AUSTRALIA - 25th June 2005
Webber Surfboards and GSI team up.
Greg Webber and GSI have signed a deal that will see GSI produce and distribute four models of Webber Surfboards around the world from September 2005- the Webber Shortboard, the Afterburner, the Fatburner and the Webber Compact Disk. Greg says that, given his design aspirations and his love of high-performance surfboards, the opportunity presented by GSI was just too good to refuse.
As well as enabling him to spend more time on his custom surfboard program, the deal will allow Greg to spend more time on pure research and design-and experimenting with different technologies.
Following the signing of the deal, Mark Kelly, MD and President of GSI, said "I am stoked to have Greg on the program. Our offering now is complete-from beginner to WCT. Now we have all the brands and the boards we need to meet everyone's requirements. The retailers who have heard the news are over the moon."

VENTURA CA USA - 25th May 2005
Global Surf Industries has recently signed a licensing deal with Walden Surfboards of Ventura CA to produce and distribute four models of their boards. Given that this is Steve Walden's 40th anniversary year of surfing, GSI is absolutely stoked to be helping him to take his business to a new level, both domestically and internationally. Steve is thrilled to be working with GSI. It leaves him with more time to concentrate on the areas that he believes represent the future of surfing-true customisation and R&D.
GSI will be producing the very popular CD, Mini Magic and Magic models in a wide range of sizes. The popular Walden Wahine models will be available in a variety of colors as well.
GSI will be launching the licenced product into the US and Australian markets by September this year.

Surf Expo a great success
GSI launched two new lines - SuperSoft Surfboards and Watercooled - at this show. Retailers from Maine to Texas attended the event, which was very successful. We love Surf Expo. It has a great vibe and it's fantastic that so many of our wonderful dealers from the East Coast and Gulf states manage to attend.
