Charlie from NJ, USA says:
got this board a couple years ago and love it. Have a big quiver of boards and i always surf this board. Got the 6'0 and put the MRX twin fin in it and it absolutely rips. Best board and have told everyone they have to get one. I'm 5'10 and 160.. could go for a bit smaller size but the 6 footer is still an amazing board.. GO GET ONE!!!!
Rob Saxer from Florida, U.S. says:
I was visiting my brother last weekend in Fort Walton Beach, on the panhandle. I should have known there would be some small swell because i didnt bring a board that day. Here waves can get pretty small so i usually have a 6'8" Shine that surfs the mush pretty well, any way, our freinf jon had a 5'9" super fish, set as a quad, and i rode it all day in knee to waist hisgh ground swell. holy cow man!!! this thing is quick, takes off easy, paddles fast. i love a 6'0" fish, but i never thought I would surf something that small and perform so well. snaps were easy, turns were quick. its a very liquidy type of board, slides really great and just sort moves for you. and then the respons, very quick! I loved it, im looking to get a 2008 5'9" for my self now!! cant recommend it better, and im so excited to take on on some good head and higher stuff, really excited about the possabilities with this thing. also i think it could air pretty well, its fast enough and pops up really easily so? well see.
Dean from VIC, Australia says:
Just returned from Maldives and took my new 7'3" superfish. As someone who is 46, 6' and 90kgs and really just retrning to surfing after a break of many years i was more than happy how this board performed. Fast and loose!! Was great in waves from 2-3 upto 5ft. Gotta agree that this board makes catching waves easy (and after stepping down from an 8'6 McTavish Carver) thats important! Overall, very happy and would buy another one! Dean
CHRISTINA from NEW JERSEY, USA says:
bought this board because i needed a small wave board that would hold in crappy contest surf and i don't know what i would do without it. Holds great in small surf and great in clean head high barrells as well!

Klaude from California, USA says:
5'9" 170 lbs, got the superfish earlier during the year, but ankle injury kept me off of it until recently. The buoyancy is amazing on this board! Riding it mostly at beachbreaks, from head high to ankle high slop. Great summer board! I am extremely happy with my new baby. I ride it as a quad set up, and I doubt that I would make it a thruster... but who knows? Highly recommended for any surfer who needs something extra in their quiver for this summer. You won't regret it! Just one turn and you're up on the face of the wave, flying down the line.. what a dream

vwgeoff from Mackay/Que, Australia says:
47y/o been riding twin fins most of my surfing life,so the change to the super fish wasnt to much different except now I ride the s/f as a quad setup.Where I live, our surf is generated by wind not by ocean swell,so most of the time we get shitty 1-1.5m waves.Even so ,surfing the s/f is fun, fun, fun, everytime you hit a section or shorie the s/f explodes with speed.I just love the buoyancy,Im 6'0tall 84 kg and Ive lent it to mates 95kg and heavier and they just love it.Seriously thinking about getting a 5'8,Id recommend a Superfish to anyone.Love it,cant wait to try in some real surf though!!!!!

MJ from NC, USA says:
My brother passed this board along to me about a year and a half ago. Between the two of us everyone thats ridden it has made an offer on it. It's a great board for small days, meaty enough to catch anything, yet small enough to throw around. Perfect for nearly all the waves we get down here. I take it out almost every day. Great board, great quality, no complaints at all. My brother's even trying to buy the board back

Grant 'RATMAN' Rutter from Jamtland, Sweden says:
I'm an aussie living in sweden and bought this board 'cause where we surf, in the baltic sea, the water is almost fresh..It floats me great (even with winter rubber on) and paddles really easily..In 1ft - 5ft it rips big time..a great small wave board..surfed it in norway and it went great there as well..after it gets bigger then i have to get on a board with more nose rocker but up to 5ft it goes off.. thanks heaps 7s, a great small wave board in all aspects..DA RAT
Anthony McInerheney from Bali, Indonesia says:
I never win anything but I did last year care of GSI. I was one the lucky individuals to win a new board from the entire GSI range. Just by writing 488 words for the "Why is life is better when you surf?" Competition. Well, talk about being spoilt for choice. With what must be nearly 100 boards on offer here I looked at my quiver and decided I needed something for the 3-5' waves that was not short but not too long. Wide but not bloated. I have the long boards covered with two McTavish models and a copy of David Nuuhiwa’s 66 NoseRider by Sean Wild. For the local stuff I have a NSP Fish. For big waves I ride a 7’2” Carver Fish also by McTavish. One of my driving factors was I wanted something that would let me slash like the young fellers do. Ok not like them, but hey I wanted to do some more radical turns. Which one would do it? I contacted Mark Kelly the boss of GSI who told me to look at the 7S SuperFish. Well I went with his suggestion actually, choosing the 6’8” XL SuperFish. Unfortunately there was none at my local store so GSI's International Marketing Manager hand delivered mine to me. Talk about person service. i took it home and opened it like a child on Christmas. Boy was I excited. That was October last year and the winds changed in Bali as they do at that tim of the year and with the exception of the local shore breaks I wasn't able to really test the new equipment. That is until a couple of weeks ago. Storms bashed us through early Feb and then cleared. 2.5m seas, 15 seconds between them light breeze from the north. I dragged myself and the XL down to Canggu and had my first session in overhead height waves. What a blast. It spun on a dime and in the lumpy conditions really excelled. Being on my backhand, I was able to do some big bottom turns and quick flick turns on the lip. I could get use to this! In the following days it cleared and dropped giving me several cleaner and smaller opportunities to get out amongst it and push myself. What a blast. I will be 45 this year and here I was slashing. It made me feel young again. Thanks GSI for the board and for the opportunity to try something new.
steven from California, united States says:
I started out riding a short board but it just wasnt working for me.So i decided to buy a new super fish 5'6 and it was and still is the best board i have ever had especially because it paddles as fast as a long board and rides like a short board
Daniel from NSW, Australia says:
this board is (was) my fav board in the quiver. im 6"3 and 90kg and i was on the 5'6. it was unreal, huge paddle power, massive speed, and unreal wide turns. i normally ride long boards but this board was unreal to me. until some wanker stole it from freshie beach. if you read this mate i hope you enjoy it as much as i did. will definately get another.

Marshal Maher from Vic, Australia says:
This board is my favourite surfboard. When I come to Jan Juc my new uncle Mark let's me ride it. I call it the Super Shark because it's so fast, He also takes me on his Stand Up Paddle board. Mark is the best and so is the Super Shark.
Jason M from CA, USA says:
I just bought a 6'0 superfish and the board is great. I used to ride a 6'10 and wanted something smaller, so I bought this board. It turns great, it is very fast, and it paddles just as well as my 6'10. This is easily one of the best boards I have ever ridden. This is also a very reasonable board in terms of price. I am very happy with this board and would recommend it to anyone. I took it out the first day I got it and rode waves around the head high range and it is a great board. it also holds up in the 2-3 ft range
Darren Ellis from Auckland, New Zealand says:
Stoked AS. Had it for a week and wished i had been riding this board for years. Great in small surf 2 - 3 ft and cant wait to have it in larger surf. easy to paddle and it slides so well. made late drops that my comp 6'4 would of let me down on. If you have been thinking about getting one DONT think anymore JUST GET IT!!!. STOKED KIWI BOY

Greg Lunn from Queensland, Australia says:
Just surfed my new 6;3 super fish at north wall in 2 ft slop, and it went off, the best surf i've had for ages. It just has incredible speed and turns on a dime. I'm 85 kg, 5;10 and have surfed for over 25 years, and this is the best thing since Simon Anderson introduced the thruster. I only wish i bought one years ago. Highly recomend, can't wait to surf it in some decent waves.
Nick Cason from FLA, USA says:
This board is awsome it was my first board i purchased brand new. The wave count is truly ridiculous. This board is easy to get into waves and paddles like a long board. Duck diveing a little tuff.. But all around a awsome board!
coggo from ACT, australai says:
I am stoked with this board!! I have not surfed a board under 8ft for over ten years now. My 6.3 goes like a rocket and is so easy to paddle into waves!!! (Im 95kgs) so i need it to float and it does!!! this board gets 5 stars !!!! Coggo
remco from amsterdam, holland says:
Good cheap small-wave board or for waves with less power like in holland. Had the 6.3 for a year and now surfs the 6.0. The 6.0 surfs way better for me, also surfed the 5,9 went really good but only in cleaner, steeper waves we dont have soo often. i am 80 kg and the 6.0 could be a little smaller. The board is fast but a bit stiff with the standard fins. A smaller trailer will losen it up and works fine but i like the mr-tx (not the mr-tfx=toostiff) the best , makes it quite loose and still really fast.
Matt from NSW, Australia says:
I recently got the new 5'9 Super Fish with the tri-quad option and the speed and hold with the four fin set up is amazing. I've been using the FCS Stretch Quad fins and found they give you a lot of drive but still feel nice and loose. I'm 84kg/185lbs and I normally ride a 6'4 shortboard but the 5'9 allows me to paddle into anything yet still be able to come off the top or bury a rail with ease. Definitely one of the most versatile boards I have ever ridden.
Steve from NJ, USA says:
I'm 31, I have been surfing more than 15 years, have owned all custom shapes...my last main board was a Rusty C5 Piranah (expensive). The board did not live up to its hype and was poorly glassed, so I decided to try a Superfish from it's online reviews and the fact that I wanted to more easily catch more waves in the 2-3' range. The 6' superfish is an enigma to me. It is feather light, feels like a shortboard, rides like a shortboard, yet paddles and takes waves like a 7-8' log. It takes a session or two to get used to...it is very loose and super fast...in fact the FASTEST board I have ever owned. ONce your on the wave you better be ready, because it is a rocket ship. It is not a beginner board in my opinion. The glass job and appearence are great and the board is solid. I could not be more pleased, especially given the price. Anyone who says don't by a machine shaped board is a total kook who has not tried the 7S Superfish--I have always been on custom shapes, and
nathan from WA, usa says:
this board is nuts. i surf the oregon coast which means crappy conditions like 90% of the time. i don't even understand how this board is so rad. it makes 2 foot mush fun. go buy one.

len from ca, usa says:
i was transitioning fr a longboard to a shortboard and i picked the 5'9 superfish. i thought it would take me months to get on it but i was able to stand and turn in just a day. its very light on water, easy to maneuver, and super fast. theres really "no bad days"..and the cool thing about it is i only got it for 200bux..super yea?
Robbi Luscombe-Newman from NSW, Australia says:
This surfboard has a hidden feature!!! Its actually a sensational large wave board!!! Paddles well and hangs in on pressure bottom turns. Then it rockets.... Just my own opinion, but I think its too stiff on small waves. Unless you are a cruiser.....
Vince from California, US says:
I weigh about 95 kg (approx 210lb) at 6'2" tall. I purchased the 6'3" Super Fish. It paddles great and rides smotth. Great in anything from 2 foot slop to 5 foot and sucky. As a and advanced begginer stepping from a mini mal to a short board was a little daunting but this made the job easy. Took my surfing to the next level.

James Dunn from Florida, USA says:
I bought this board a few years back and am very happy I did. From slamming beach break, mushy slop, or tow-ats this board works great. I ride a 5'9" gloss and weigh 200 pounds and catch more waves than most people in the water which is crazy. Perfect simple board desighn that I hope they don't change.
Kyle from North Caro, United States of America says:
I've had a 5' 8'' superfish for two years now and love it. Living on the east coast and surfing shore beak can be a hastle, but having a 7S has made it fun in in impossible conditions. Rides like a shortboard, but in conditions normal shortboards couldn't. Rides great on head high waves and hurricane swells.
ben clifton from devon, england says:
I wanted a shorter board as i've been long boarding for about 5 yrs. after getting some inhieritance i bought one (6.3). what a great board, i now use it more than my longy, i think it likes surfing more than me !!!!!!!!

STUWE from NSW, AUSTRALIA says:
I HAVE HAD THE SUPERFISH FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND ALL I CAN SAY IS "AWESOME" I HAVE LIVED IN SYDNEY FOR 3 YEARD NOW(FROM IRELAND) AND FOR THE LAST 2 I HAVE TAKEN THE SUPERFISH OUT ON A DAILY BASIS.UNBELIEVABLE IN SMALL AND LARGE WAVES,HIGHLY RECOMENDABLE BOARD,GET ONE DUDE!!
Chris from Canterbury, New Zealand says:
I normally ride a longboard, but at 60, decided if I was ever going to ride a shorter board again, it had to be now. Bought a 7' 3" Superfish XL and changed my life - this thing is a one-board quiver. Goes in anything, even slop. So easy to paddle, catches waves and just BLASTS!! Unmakeable sections? - not on this thing! I havent had so much fun for a long time. Only one thing worries me - this thing is so much fun, are you sure it's legal??!!?

Arnel Mejia from LANUZA, PHILIPPINES says:
this board is amazingly fast. surfed in beach break during low tide and reef break during high tide with addicting and smile producing rides. the grommets i was surfing with kept asking about the board, they couldn't beleive how far it would get me through almost close out sections. beautiful board and strong glassing, after a week of 4-5 ft reef and beach breaks it has not dinged yet.

Dave Paton from Victoria, Australia says:
bought my 6'0 fish at the start of the year and was blown away with how many waves i caught and the turns is could stick on a crappy 2 foot day. Its like a longboard and a shortboard mashed together. highly recomend this to everyone who doesnt have one
Steve from Vic, Australia says:
I got the Superfish 6'3" in Jan and I love it. I’m 6'5" and 95kg and for years I’ve tried to find a board that works well in small and fat summer waves. I can stop looking. The Superfish is so much fun, not only can I now surf on 2-3foot beachies without bogging a rail but the thing turns unreal. Everyone knows you do your best turns with speed, well that’s what the Superfish gives you, even in crap surf.
Michael from NSW, Cabarita Beach says:
Great board for our location as it is regularly fat and the 7s gets over the fat sections and lets you drive into the more suckier sections without too much loss of speed.
R.Hampton from sussex, ENGLAND says:
i,v had meny board's but i think this one is a good all rounder(6"3 super fish)i,v had longboarb's and shortboards wich i could not get on with,it's flooty but loose at the same time good fun for the british waves.i would like to triy a smaller size like a 5"10.all i can say is bye one
Gregory from SA, Australia says:
i saw one of these in action last weekend. conditions were utterly awful - winds were onshore and blowing the swell flat. i was struggling to catch anything even on my 7'10 NSP mini mal. a few metres further out than me was a guy on a superfish, paddling into anything he wanted and ripping it like a shortboard. i spoke to him and he couldn't say enough good things about it... described it as being like it had a turbo! i have a house and a wedding to pay for but SOMEHOW i'm going to get one of these bad boys as soon as possible. i want one SO bad!!

Ray Benavides from Texas, USA says:
My name is Ray Benavides. My local spot where i surf is the Jetties at South Padre Island Tx. I am a surfer who thought there was nothing else to ride but performance boards. It was a summer morning and i was going thru the usual routine, surf lessons in the morning, work in the afternoons then back to the beach for a free surf. Summer time is usually the ideal time to surf, except if there is a Hurricane in the gulf. but that's if. Summer time waves are usually in 2 to 4ft range nothing to get excited about, till i met my 7s 5'9 fish. It was over. I was hooked. Since then i can't get off it. My fish is modified where i have two standard fins and a trailer fin in the middle. It works great. so for those surfers who are stuck between a fish and a performance board, try a fish. Don't get me wrong i still have my 6'2 squash tail for day's when it's big. I surfed my first competion and got fourth. I look foward to the next competion where the fish will be put to the test once again. I sur

dangerous dan from nsw, australia says:
you can ride this thing in anything, it all comes down to the riders mindset. it was always explained to me that the superfish wouldn't work in indo...i wish i would have taken it overseas from the 1st time i rode one 8 years ago. i take the 'superfish' everytime i go to indo now, which is every year. you can pull in on the heaviest of days or just cruise on the days that your high performance model is being difficult. if you don't have one in your quiver, you're missing out. ever heard the term: "it feels like cheatin'"? This term was invented for the superfish.
mick casey from QLD , Australia says:
Hi there I got my 6ft superfish about 3 years ago when they first came out, I am one for buying new surf boards well I was till I got this one so I still love my fish and thrash it to bits,at 44 years The board is just perfect to show up those young groms that make me feel old. top board....
remco van buuren from amsterdam, holland says:
In holland we have mostly quite small weak schort unorginased waves and this board really suites the waves here. I was really surprised how good it surfed in the bigger waves we sometimes have, the speed is soo nice without losing control. I dont need an extra board anymore here one does it all , just changing fins does the trick. Losing a bit hi-preformance compared to a shortboard is made up by the many waves you get, speed easy padling and easy surfing. good board, surfed with g5 and h2 ,i liked the g5 but it needed some more response on small waves but surfs more relaxed in bigger waves, the h2 gives more responce and you can push harder trough you whole turn.giving more speed but somehowe i like the g5 a bit more on this board.
Yauncey Long from North Caro, United States says:
I snapped a longboard in the Outerbanks and then had a 7 shortboard stolen off of my car's rack. In the peak of summer I was desperate to find a board. I loved the way this board looked, and was talked into buying it. You can tell alot of research went into its design. It really sticks out among all of the other clones. That is all cosmetic, once I got in the water it blew me away. I used to have to take my longboard and shortboard to make sure I'm ready for any wave. With this board I catch big steep fast waves with the shortboards and the very next day catch a two foot letdown with the old guys. I have one board for every wave report and I couldnt be happier.
Peter from NSW, Australia says:
The super fish does catch waves real easy. I can take much latter drops on it no worries. It goes great in tiny waves and I have had it in plenty of bigger more punchy stuff. Its a excellant all rounders board. Pete
Mark Flynn from NSW, Australia says:
Just back from Maldives,riding waves from 3' to 7 ' riding 6'6"
Kristin from NY, USA says:
I purchased this board in the spring of this year and I LOVE it. I am having my best Summer ever surfing on it. I catch more waves than anyone out there, due to the extra volume in the deck. I usually ride a 6'0"

Jobbo from Vic, Australia says:
Living down south in the cold hard waves of Southern Victoria, you can sometimes be excused for not finding the inspiration to paddle out…getting on the wrong side of 30 doesn’t help either. With that in mind I picked up a 6’3’ super fish. The best compliment I can give is that it has me excited about surfing 3 ft onshore 12 degrees waves the way it would on a clean 5ft day in the middle of summer…and quite simply - you get a shit load more waves…that’s more waves and more fun

nathan sturitis from south aust, australia says:
i have had many boards in the past but this one is them all rolled into one i have surfed from 1 foot slop to 4 foot glass and never fails. It is also sick as a twiny and i recomend it to anyone who wants a fun board because you can catch anything on it 10/10
Bruce Baker from NSW, Australia says:
I have the 6'3 Superfish and can only say good things about it. Initially I thought it would be good for junky waves, and it is. It gets through flat sections easily and you can find extra speed whenever you need it. But I've also had it in clean overhead waves and enjoyed it just as much. The bevelled rail means you do a full rail turn without the bouyancy that you get in most fish shapes causing you to lose it half way into a turn. I've got mine set up with TC redline sides and a smaller GS centre fin because I think that this helps give me bite when I need it and also allows release when I want to.
James from Vic, Ireland (Aussie born) says:
I have been using the Superfish in some pretty fickle summer swell on the West Coast of Ireland and still managed to pick a bunch of waves and have some great surfs. The extra bit of volume gives you a real boost on take-off yet doesn't add too much to your duck dive effort! The stepped swallow tail also makes for some really easy and fast turning on the wave face. Would recommend to all.
Aaron from Florida, U.S.A says:
I purchased this board last year. It was my first real short board and it absolutely rocks. It's wide enough and buoyant for the Florida dribble. In head high, it's quick and responsive. It paddles like a much longer board. I weight around 170 and bought the 6.0 and it rides feels just right for my weight. I recommend it to anyone starting out on a short board.
