Our most popular board, the Super Fish has been updated to increase both performance and durability. The new bottom contour - a deep single to double concave provides extra drive and quicker planning due to increased lift. This is great for adding speed to an already fast shape. The wings are more defined as well, increasing release off the tail and further increasing the board speed. The swallow tail is shallower than before and increases surface area allowing better tail release when you want it. This board still features the step deck design that gives this board a massive buoyancy advantage yet you still have performance rails to allow the board to turn on rail easily.

The tail on the board also has a new extra glass layer and bead layed around the edge.

The 5 plug option with 5 FCS fins included ( a tri and quad Set) , give you the versatility you want right out of the box. The Super Fish II is available in traditional Polyester with a traditional board feel and will soon be available in our new PE, a super white board that feels new longer, X-2 for the ultimate in durability, and the new FF carbon rail for the most responsive experience.

X-2 Epoxy is a multi-layered sandwich construction using epoxy resin, woven fiberglass and sheets of thin wood veneer wrapped around a Nanoweld EPS core. This construction method produces a light, extremely durable surfboard that’s particularly strong on the deck. The durability and strength of X-2 Epoxy boards make them ideal for SUP’s, surfers who like to travel, and heavy beach break conditions where other boards are prone to breaking. X-2 Epoxy boards feel solid under your feet and can take an absolute beating while maintaining their appearance for many years.

Bob from Texas, USA says:

I am 55 and 175lbs. I live near the gulf of mexico (small slow mushy windswell) and travel to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Hawaii, and northern and southern California regularly. My skills and fitness are average and I spend about 3-4 days a month in the water (not quite a weekend warrior). I have owned the 8' version of this board and now have the 7'3". The 8' Superfish XL poly I had was a phenomenal wave catcher. It took me some time to get used to working the back of the board to make it maneuver but I got the hang of it and loved it. My only regret once I had the hang of it was I wished I had gone shorter. Surfing mostly beach breaks I need something that would turn quicker on takeoff and not pearl. I had the poly version and the glass job was thin on the deck. I have many pressure dings after one season of use. I have had a number of boards but this was the worst I have seen as far as the pressure dings are concerned. I would pass on the poly. Despite the pressure ding problem I loved the float and glide so I decided to pick up a Superfish XL 7'3" X2 epoxy. Quality: So far, NO pressure dings (same rider, same surf). I highly recommend everyone buy the epoxy versions of these boards. The X2 with the tougher deck is my preference. Performance: The 7'3" is much better for a rider my size in the small gutless surf we get on the gulf. I can enjoy anything 2'- overhead and a half with this board. I would characterize the board as very buoyant, and extremely light so it paddles FAST. This is my longboard. Being older I wear out more quickly than I used to. This board makes it easier to paddle and catch waves and I can last longer in the water as a result. This is a great product. Conclusion: If you should surf a longboard (conditions & fitness) but would rather surf a short board this is your board. A great way to have lots of fun on a wave but still be able to catch them with the effort normally exerted on a longboard.
