I have been very happy with the GSI SOFT BOARD for both my students and myself. it is stable and very functional. Very Good for teaching and a first board. My only feed back is that although it is very durable it is a little heavy and i have a personal preference for the no wax skins.

I used the board during every group lesson and several private lessons this summer, plus I rode it myself. It has held up as well or better then all other school boards we use here. We did not have a delaminating problem, nor did we have any deck punctures or nose damage. I felt the board is a little sluggish to turn, but beginners did not have a problem with it. I would say the strong point is the ease at which the board slips into a rolling wave during the lesson and the stability provided for the beginner to stand up. About the only issue I found is that we did need to wax it prior to every lesson.
