The Shred Sled is a fish design tweaked to be an all-round surfing board. It has a smooth connected feeling that is fast and flowing. Although it looks like a small wave board, the Shred Sled will surf waves up to 6ft in all conditions.

The unique outline allows a full plan shape, yet a wide round tail is positioned behind the wing to give plenty of performance and curve to fit into all types of waves. The wing allows a straighter outline in the center of the board, which provides plenty of speed down the line. The foil has plenty of volume, yet it is shaped to allow the board to sit in the wave face creating a very smooth, connected feeling. The wing breaks this connection and water flow to give response and release when you want it.

The rocker is flat in the belly, giving the board flowing speed, yet it kicks late in the nose and a little in the tail. The deep single concave in the front end of the board blends into a double vee out the tail behind the front fins.

Designed to be ridden 4-5 inches shorter and to 1 inch wider than your performance shortboard.

  • FutureFlex
FutureFlex represents the very latest in surfboard technology and design. The construction process combines a stringerless, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.
The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance of these boards. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twisting, FutureFlex boards essentially store and release energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. The result is a fast and lively, highly responsive surfboard that's perfectly geared for high performance surfing.

Nick Baines from NSW, Australia says:

Hey guys, Four weeks ago I made the brave decision of buying a 5'6 Shred Sled by Hayden Shapes from Global Surf Industries. Knowing that this board may be too small for me, and worrying about other minor difficulties, I was nervous to see how it would perform. But I couldn't of been more impressed. What a creation by Hayden Cox. Even though, for me, it lacks paddle power at time (possibly due to it being slightly too small) it makes up for this in its speed, manoeuvrability and performance. Literally 'Shreds" in wave between 1-8ft and any size, shape or condition. I'm hooked. Possibly best purchase of my life, worthwhile, cheap, and its going to improve my surfing immensely. Get on it fellow window shoppers. Thanks Hayden Shapes and GSI.

Lance Clinton from Playa Herm, Costa Rica says:

Hello Hayden, my name is Lance Clinton. I am a 42 yr old American but have lived in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica for the last 15 years. Being long time friends with Chuck Herwig from WOW surf, I recently was in his store and picked up a 6'0" shred sled because it looked like a fun board. I was speaking with chuck a few days ago and he suggested I write u and give u a little feedback. Man, all I can say about this board is HOLY SHIT!! I have ridden a ton of boards over the years (we break em pretty quick here) and I have never, NEVER had a piece of equiptment that has changed my surfing like this board. Seriously, my surfing is at a completely different level! I feel like within one month YEARS of learning is all being APPLIED at once. It makes me feel like every board I have ridden for the last ten years was broken! And it's all been completely natural and effortless. In other words, I wouldn't say the board makes me surf better, but rather that it just ALLOWS me to surf to my full potential! AWESOME! Thank you so much! I have ridden this board every day from chest high beach break to solid six foot heavy reef. Can't find ANY flaws! I am completely amped to go surfing every morning! More than usual even! I've put it through some nice turns and nice barrels and look forward to plenty more! Thank u again for making this board! Ok man, thank you one last time for all your work! It has affected my life in a very positive way! Lance Clinton
