- SLX
- SLX EPOXY TECHNOLOGY
SLX construction produces a controlled flex pattern by combining the versatility of epoxy materials with the added advantage of reduced weight. All SLX boards have an EPS core with a high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using epoxy resign, biaxial fiberglass and a specialized construction process.
Featuring a high strength-to-weigh ratio, and designs CNC milled directly from the shapers files. SLX boards feel light, responsive and are very sensitive under your feet. These boards are extremely versatile, easy to ride, and can be used in wide variety of conditions. You can find out more about GSI's surfboard construction on our surfboard technologies page

Martin from CA, USA says:The 'Sled surfs very fast and dynamic. The speed generated from deliberate bottom turns took a few sessions for me to adapt, in comparison to riding an 8' ST Carver and 7'4" Rusty T2; which, are both among the best in breed in this regard for Tri-fins. The board simply flies, and can link together sections that would have had me kicking-out on prior boards. As stated before, the sled can handle steep pitching waves, as well as float over the dreaded infamous OB dead zones. It will slide more easily on hard cutbacks compared to a tri, and duckdiving the 7'6" requires a deliberate effort; but it paddles like an 8' mini-longboard. It is simply the best board I have ever ridden in shoulder to slightily overhead - I will have to wait for the Fall for DOH, at which point I'll grab a gun.
