SLX construction produces a controlled flex pattern by combining the versatility of epoxy materials with the added advantage of reduced weight. All SLX boards have an EPS core with a high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using epoxy resign, biaxial fiberglass and a specialized construction process.
Featuring a high strength-to-weight ratio, and designs CNC milled directly from the shapers files. SLX boards feel light, responsive and are very sensitive under your feet. These boards are extremely versatile, easy to ride, and can be used in wide variety of conditions.

Graham Dunn from Victoria, Australia says:

Don't be scared to go the 9'6" longer version GSI fireball model its friken amazing. Im 95 k's and I've surfed this thing from 6" running rights to 5 to 6' steam rolling lefts at Woolamia. Don't waste your money on anything else! Ive ordered a custom original as well from the boys at Byron. Bob is the man! I've tried other shapers boards but none measure up to the masters designs. Like I said don't be afraid to go up in length to the 9'6" trust me!!!!

Tom Mitchell from RI, USA says:

This board is very fast. After a few sessions, getting the center fin just right, she responds very well. It excells in chest plus surf. Im pleased with my purchace. I don't use it much with knee to waist. Prefer less rocker. Lots of foam in the 3 and 1/8 thickness. Would have liked to tried a little thinner, maybe a custom for the next board. The board is overall light. Hacks off the top are no problem . The width of 23, I thought would have hampered some performance. But the round pin does just fine pulling the nose around. As far as the noseriding goes, I will move forward for trim speed and have snuck a couple cheater fives in. However, I'd rather slash and burn off the tail with this design.

Paul from CT, USA says:

I've surfed at least 6 different longboard shapes, and this one is my favorite by far. Great paddle, like having an extra gear when I need it over other similar-sized shapes. Plenty stable, and it turns seemingly just by thinking about it. I'm an intermediate surfer, and I can make this board go where ever I need to, quickly enough so I don't get behind waves. I surf it as a single fin with just the tailfin that came with it. I might try some different fin shapes and sizes, just for fun, but I love the way it surfs as is!

kiwi from nsw, australia says:

Awesome board, suits my style of surfing. I changed the fishhook fin to a hydrofoil dolphin cut 9" to give me more drive off the bottom turn, anyway it works for me.Surprisingly quick, the more hollow the wave the better it goes, cheers kiwi.
