This board is an amazing piece of equipment. Bill stewart knew he was on to a good thing when he designed this board. As the blurb says it has produced 4 world Longboard titles. I can't think of another longboard out there, let alone brand that has this distinction. I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Stewart the other week when he was in town and me being me i tried getting as much info out of him as possible about his boards and may i just say not once did he ever hesitate to answer my questions. I know he would get it a lot of people ear bashing him about board info but to me the information he provided was invaluable when it came to riding the above board. I will make mention that I handed this board around the line up to a few guys try and all good reponses and one guy was in the 80 kg mark and the other about 120kg from guessing. I found that it turns super tight in the pocket and provides great down the line speed. Of the time that i spent on the nose it glides through the chop and steep part of the wave with ease, but the board is built to perform and with the SLX construction it really helps it do that. I found also that finding the sweet spot on this board to paddle, came fairly easy, i really believe that if a board paddles well it can surf well. But don't take my word for it, it's just my opinion. The other major thing that i did with this board was try some different fins. But this should be done with any board and i have always done this. Fins can really change the overall performance aspects of a board. I highly recommend the above board.
