SURFBOARD TECHNOLOGY
FutureFlex
FutureFlex represents the very latest in surfboard technology and design. The construction process combines a stringerless, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.
The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance of these boards. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twisting, FutureFlex boards essentially store and release energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. The result is a fast and lively, highly responsive surfboard that's perfectly geared for high performance surfing.
PE
PE construction combines a polyurethane foam core with high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using fiberglass cloth and an exclusive epoxy resin. Epoxy resin is used in PE construction for two important reasons. One, to reduce the rate of yellowing and discoloration of the board and two, our exclusive epoxy is more flexible than polyester and maintains the lively flex pattern typically associated with a new board.
All PE boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand. These boards are light, have incredible acceleration and speed, and feel remarkably sensitive under your feet.
SLX Epoxy
SLX construction produces a controlled flex pattern by combining the versatility of epoxy materials with the added advantage of reduced weight. All SLX boards have an EPS core with a high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using epoxy resign, biaxial fiberglass and a specialized construction process.
Featuring a high strength-to-weigh ratio, and designs CNC milled directly from the shapers files. SLX boards feel light, responsive and are very sensitive under your feet. These boards are extremely versatile, easy to ride, and can be used in wide variety of conditions.
Polyester (PU)
Polyester or PU construction uses traditional materials and laminating techniques to produce a strong, reliable surfboard with high quality finishes. All polyester boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand using quality components such as Hexcel fiberglass, Silmar resin and Bennett foam.
For years traditional polyester boards have been at the forefront of performance surfing. These boards feature a progressive flex pattern controlled by a high-grade timber stringer and feel very reliable under your feet. Polyester construction will perform in all surf conditions and can be adapted to suit a wide variety of surfboard models.
X-2 Epoxy
X-2 Epoxy is a multi-layered sandwich construction using epoxy resin, woven fiberglass and sheets of thin wood veneer wrapped around a Nanoweld EPS core. This construction method produces a light, extremely durable surfboard that's particularly strong on the deck. The durability and strength of X-2 Epoxy boards make them ideal for SUP's, surfers who like to travel, and heavy beach break conditions where other boards are prone to breaking. X-2 Epoxy boards feel solid under your feet and can take an absolute beating while maintaining their appearance for many years.
Softshell
Softshell was developed for surf schools and beginner surfers who required a safe, durable, easy to ride surfboard. Softshell is essentially a thick Polyethylene skin wrapped around the deck and rail of the board, combined with a soft slick bottom surface that keeps novice riders safe in the event of impact.
Using a vacuum construction process eliminates peeling or bubbling and allows Softshell boards to withstand the toughest of treatment, while providing many surfers the opportunity to safely catch their first wave.
Coco Mat
Coco Mat technology, used in the construction of both surfboards and SUPs, integrates natural random discontinuous coconut fibers into an exclusive lamination construction method to create a surfboard with amazing performance and unparalleled strength to weight ratio. After hundreds of hours surfing, as well as controlled laboratory testing, Coco Mat construction has proven to produce the lightest and strongest surfboards on the market today.
The natural coconut fibers used to make Coco Mat surfboards are readily available, need minimal processing and come from self-sustaining crops located near our manufacturing facility. For these reasons the NSP brand is proudly championing the new Coco Mat technology which offers a responsive, fluid ride with great flex characteristics, and an aesthetic that is not only original, but organically beautiful. (Coco Mat technology is Patent Pending)
X-3 Epoxy
The X-3 micro sandwich was designed specifically for stand up paddle boards. This method of construction takes the best aspects of epoxy based sandwich molding techniques, to create a lively SUP board. X-3 eliminates chatter, to produce the smooth feeling glide and the longevity you want. Sandwiching specially selected fibers on an unidirectional substrate gives the deck of the X-3 boards a responsive feel under your feet. This allows excellent control in a variety of conditions. The uni fibers are in direct contact with the Nanoweld core and control the flex of the board from tip to tail. The fiber sandwich dampens any chatter allowing you to perform at your top level in the surf. X-3 is a simple, elegant method of construction designed to build a long lasting and responsive feeling SUP board.
Elements Epoxy
Elements Epoxy, used in the construction of both NSP Elements surfboards and SUPs, consists of Secure Cell Fully fused EPS foam core, that is laminated and vacuum molded with a combination of high grade fibreglass and Epoxy Resin. A durable polyurethane coating is integrated within the mould and then completed with a performance hybrid finish.
E2 Epoxy
E2 Epoxy, used in the construction of both NSP surfboards and SUPs, is a technology that's built to withstand the trials and tribulations of the recreational surfer. E2 Epoxy was designed to deliver performance with maximum sturdiness. The thick, epoxy fibreglass skin covered with TopSheet is key to the E2 Epoxy construction's durability. Extremely puncture resistant, it's strong enough to handle small impacts with out shattering. Thus making a great board for beginners and intermediates to progress on.
Brushed Carbon
Brushed Carbon is the ultimate in lightweight, elite, high end production. NSP Brushed Carbon SUP boards are the lightest, stiffest boards available and are designed to satisfy the most discerning paddler. This technology features vacuum bagged double biased Carbon fibre top and bottom. The deck is reinforced with PVC to add durability and stiffness and to fully minimize weight the boards have not been painted and feature the custom hand sanded blue brushed carbon matt finish.
Brushed Carbon screams performance without compromise.

Coco Carbon
A world first innovation in vacuum molded manufacturing technology Coco carbon utilizes the patented Coco Mat tehcnology on the deck, PVC sandwich on the bottom and an exposed carbon perimeter frame on the rails. With this construction we have achieved an amazing blend of durability, weight, stiffness and incredibly striking aesthetics. This technology is designed to withstand the rigors of life while looking great doing it.
Gnaraloo Inflatable
Gnaraloo inflatables are made with the toughest river rafting technology. These boards will withstand years of abuse but are soft on the body and easy to get around on. The 1000 denier PVC will hold up to and from the beach, in the surf and on the river. The best part of the Gnaraloo inflatable technology is that it preforms well in all conditions. Cruising on the lake, drifting down stream and of course surfing the local break. All Gnaraloo boards should be pumped to between 15 and 20 PSI.
