It suprises me why other shapers have not cottoned on to this design. It is extremely versatile. You can fiddle with length, thickness, width, fin set up but keep coming back to this shape and you cannot go wrong! The 7'2" is good for bigger days, go a 6'8" super-wide for smaller days and throw in a Walden fish just for fun. It is the perfect quiver.

Graham Dunn from Victoria, Australia says:
This thing is alive! I purchased a 7.0' mini magic and have been really suprised at how well it goes. I found that fishes go shit for me as I am a power surfer not a flapper! I have also been surfing a long board and wanted to get something shorter for surfing tighter to the pocket and still have the paddle power. I changed the fin set up on the mini magic from a single fin with side bites to a traditional thruster setup. I found the single fin with side bites that it came with a bit lifeless. I made sure that the back fin can slide right up to the tail and found this really improved the drive of the bottom and enabled the board to draw out turns more on the shoulder. I think the single fin set up would realy go well for an older style surfer or beginner. Unlike a fish or normal long board this board really likes steep and fast waves. I have been unable to nose dive it on the take of or whilst snapping it of the top as I often do on my normal long board. Its fast loose but still has direction. If you'r like me (47 years young) and can still surf well get one! Graham "dunny" Dunn
