Walden has produced an incredibly versatile range of Stand Up Paddle boards.

The 9'4" is perfect for intermediate to better surfers looking for performance from their SUP. Generous width gives this one the edge. Equipped with an arch bar and kick tail traction for performance surfing.

The 9'11" is an excellent all round performance board that is as comfortable performing on a wave, noseriding in trim or paddling on flat water. It is wider to provide the stability for a beginner to intermediate SUP enthusiast.

The 10'10" can be the perfect board for beginners due to it's increased width that provides stability. It also great for the larger stand up paddler who need a little more buoyancy under their feet. It's also easy to noseride and the Magic bottom makes it very responsive when on the face of a wave.

I have been riding the Walden 10'10" for 4 years. I changed the fin to a RFC Santa Cruz single fin to hold the line while nose riding. It works fantastic. Rides like an old school nose rider. Still turns quick and powerful. I have been surfing 52 years and enjoy surfing as much now as when I started. I have demoed loads of SUP's but always go back to my Walden.

Just purchased my first SUP -after trying out a few other brands- and I am really stoked with my Magic 9'4 .I am 5'4 and 145 lbs, just retired and have been surfing for 40 years - on both trad & progressive mals for last 15 years - so this model is a totally perfect fit for me - it felt just spot-on as soon as I jumped on it first time out. Whilst I have it set up this week as quad ready for a new Artic swell due this weekend (we pray )I also like having the flexiblity of single or 2+1 fin options to play with as we get a lot of mushy waves here on North East coast of England. Now looking forward now to many more seshes on my Magic Model which am confident will make it easy to improve & master my SUP skills .. enjoying new stuff 'sposed to keep ya young eh ?!!

Tried out a couple of other brands which don't hold a candle to the 9'4 Magic Model I purchased 2 weeks ago and am really, totally stoked with it!I've recently retired and, whilst I longboard as much as I need, this stick has given me a whole new set of skills to master and added a brand new reason to hit the beach even more ..despite it being North Sea & at its chilliest right now!! Got this babe set up as quad for this week and can't wait for that classic new Spring swell predicted to arrive this weekend from up off Norway. Yeah!!!

9'4" Walden SUP: Many many good sessions on this board and still more to come. I worked my way down to this board from the 9'11" Walden a few years ago. This board is perfect for an advanced SUPer but would also be appropriate for beginners under 140lbs. The full-nose and longboard styling give you access to the whole deck for noseriding and other longboard style moves, but don't let that fool you... this board can shred some big surf and when surfed with a progressive stance you can pump, do cutbacks, floaters, and re-entries all day long. It rides great as a quad and is loose and playful. I rode it with quads for about a year but have started riding standard M5 fins on the outer and one 7" center fin. This lets the board go a little more vertical and easier recovery, just not as fast as the quad. Grab a SUP like this next time the waves are big but mushy and soft on the shoulder, you will have the time of your life! This board can also keep you surfing when the waves are too small for anything else in your quiver.

My whole life has revolved around surfing for the last 50 years or abit more. Now with a bad knee, hip and lumbar spine I thought my surfing days had come to an end, getting too crowded anyway. Along came sup,I spent a year on a 11ft nsp heaps of fun. Time to get a little shorter and narrower and tryed lots of different boards and none really turned my crank. A friend told me about the Walden 9 4. I have tolet the world know how absolutly fantastic this board goes Its so forgiving so loose so flowing I thought the nsp was a good nose rider, mate these waldens are awesome Talk about the MAGIC MODEL.I really cant say enough great things about it. I could rave on This board is so good I went and bought the 9 11 for the ankle snappers to waist high.Haha I thought the surf was small yesterday and only took the 9 11 Got to the beach and it was head high + I got myself a standup barrel If it wasnt for sup and Walden I would be body surfing or eskylid riding not that there is any thing wrong with that SO thanks to a couple of great mates and Steve Walden and his MAGIC MODEL I say May Huey, Kahuna and King Neptune always be surfing by your side.

Cheater Five from Washington, United States says:

I got Walden 9'11" SUP a couple months ago and this is my 3rd SUP. I'm almost 50 years young and 200lb. This thing work insane in the surf (that's all I want to do). If you are looking for bit shorter SUP, you don't need look any further, but get this!! Yesterday, one of the point break spots around here was getting nice swells. When my friend and I got there early morning, only 2 guys were out with over head sets. It was bit windy and choppy, but surf looked amazing. I could not make up my mind to pick a board between 7'2", 9'6" LB and SUP. I ended up taking Walden 9'6" SUP and thinking well if it's too much for this, I can come in and change a board..... changing a board didn't even cross my mind once I got out there. I was pretty comfortable with it even in the larger windy choppy surf and man, I don't know what, maybe step deck? , but this thing worked insane. I loved this board!!! What I loved most is that I could pump it almost like short board as when I am at critical section of the face where I could be almost too deep, I could pump it a few times at the top of face just like short board to clear thru fast section, then go for bottom turn and go up and get on the nose. I don't think I was able to pump it like that with any other SUP boards I have tried. I even made floater a couple times and same time, you could be on the nose easily. Short boarder paddled toward me when I was paddling back to the line up after 1 wave and he went, fuc*, you are getting all bigger waves and seems like having such a fun. I just saw you floater too. How long is that shi*? He also said that I thought SUP is for old men, but now I've gotta get something like that. It looks too much. I just wanted to let you know how stoke I am and I have been having such a great time with it. SUP bug totally bit me good and I'm so hooked....I can't wait to try Walden 9'4" SUP now Aloha

Christo from Baja, Mexico says:

The Magic 9.4 absolutely rocks for me. At 5'2", 140 Lbs, mid fifties, life time surfer, the stoke is fully alive and well.I have now paddled/surfed this board 120 days straight in a full range of conditions.Cruised up deep desert canyons in 12'' of water (no center fin), surfed tiny perfect little rippers up to well overhead point breaks. I regularly paddle from directly in front of our home cruising 6 points and surfing all along the way, get to first point and turn around and repeat on the way home! What I am attempting to describe is how well Mr.Magic performs in varied conditions. It tracks extremely well cruising while being super loose on a wave. It handles side chop well and sucks going into a big wind! I prefer to surf it as a quad..it is fast and can crank and hold bottom turn. The board excels when ridden on the rails and off the fins. The deck pad is comfy, I use surf wax on it to add grip and have installed a tail pad over the fins. Everyone who has jumped on this board loves it...all shapes and sizes..it is stable. My light weight wife loves to cruise on it when she shares her big NSP cruiser with friends. A few paint chips quickly repaired with white nail polish.I highly recommend this board as an all rounder for smaller folks and an awesome surf board for the bigger crew.It would be great to see a deck pad with built in kick/tail pad. Would I buy another..hell no...I want a shorter SUP! Thanks GSI.

Bill Ward from Queensland, Australia says:

I have access to many brands/sizes of sups and I purchased this board for my wife as her beginner board because it was light and stable and a really fun board to surf if she progresses that far. Sadly since purchasing this board my high performance 9ft custom sup has all but sat in the garage gathering dust because I am having so much fun on this board that I cannot stop surfing it. Have surfed it in 1 to 5ft point and beach breaks and it cannot be faulted in any way. If I head off for a day trip of weekend sup and only take one board, it is always the 9.11 Walden. In all honesty the 9.0 H/P sup is a better board in very serious surf but that is only maybe 10% of the time so it's more important to me to be happy and stoked 90% of the time and the Walden in just sooooooooo much fun. (you would almost think it was my board and not the wifes hey)

The 9'11 Walden SUP is a great all-around Shape! paddles great in flatwater and handles the surf really well! This is my first Sup and i'm glad i bought the 9'11" model because it turns really well!

Tom Stephenson from California, USA says:

Just like the Magic Model, the SUP Walden is very loose and stable. The step rall design really makes for a great turning SUP Board. The inlayed deck pad is comfortable on your feet and gives great traction. I've rode mine in all types of surf conditions from 1'-6' in North San Diego County. I hope that Global Surf Industries and Steve will design a 10'6" or 10' in the near future. You won't be disapointed with this SUP board!

Peggy Ann Cordle from F L , US says:

I recently learned to surf in Costa Rica and became instantly addicted, but alas, living on the Gulf side of Florida, even though it's much nicer than the other side, NO WAVES. I read about SUP and tried a few boards. i settled in this one a few weeks ago. it's fantastic when the clear . beautiful Gulf is calm and really fun and easy when we're lucky enough to have a few waves. The whole neighborhood is loving this board. totally recommend it!

Mark Kelly from NSW, Australia says:

OK I'll come clean right up front, I'm bias I am the Managing Director of GSI. I have been riding this SUP since I got the first sample from the factory. I have to tell you it is unbelievable. Very good in a wide range of conditions from glassy to clean overhead. The thing rides like a regular longboard it planes super easy and turns without much effort. I have access to a wide range of boards but this one keeps calling me. The step deck design allows the rail to dig into the wave making it easy to turn. It is a real pleasure to ride. Steve made Tandem boards for year so he is used to making these monsters work. Great Design Steve.
