webber is a genius. The 6'2 afterburner in slx is one of the best boards I have had; responsive, fast and extremely buoyant making it a pleasure to paddle. The double concave performs like a turbo able to be wound up and driven to higher speeds. Try a long open face round house cutback and pump it mid turn to really experience the benefit of the concaves and the materials. Slightly wider in the nose and tail dimensions combined with the buyancy opens up a range of conditions that this board will perform in. Treat yourself.

I got myself a 6'6" 19 3/8 x 2 3/8 afterburner so I could ride smaller waves with my young son who's not keen on anything bigger than a fullish 3 foot surf at this stage and I must say, I slash and burn on this thing! 3 to 4 foot surf and I'm surfing like a dude possesed!!! This board allows me to make enormous spray, especially when cutting backhand off the lip. (makes me proud). Being 6'1" and 85 odd kilos makes it a little sluggish 2 feet and under though so I'm getting a custom Afterburner made by Greg himself in the very near future. I'm stoked coz I live real close to his shaping shop...I reckon 6' 10" 19 1/2 x 2 1/2 and I'll be ripping in 2 foot surf with my young boy no problem at all. I rode my first Webber board 24 years ago when I was just 16, and I'll be ridin' a Webber board 'till I bite the dust! WEBBER...JUST BRILLIANT!!!!!! P.S. Gregs' brother Will also makes some really brilliant boards, but I'm stayin' loyal to Greg...

Bottom line its a great shape, rides clean, but it's a bit too thin. Ordered the 6'4 2007 model thinking it was going to be more 50/50 on the fish/high performance side and that it would handle my 6'2" 185lbs with ease. Not the case. I've been surfing for 25 yrs and I know that the board should work for you rather than you making the board work. Still, I'm going to sell this one and order the same thing again, only this time do the 6'4 at 2 5/8th's on the thickness - that should dial it in. Too bad I'm figuring this out now, but no worries. Paddle out, take the drop, and pull in.

This Board without a doubt improved my surfing from the first 1 footer I caught since then i have taken it out in anything up to 6ft which is about the extreme you would want to go. I was a bit dubious on epoxy boards but the solid construction and extra floatation have been excellent. It truly is an all rounder, if I could only have one board this would be it. It loves floaters is super responsive and can attack dead sections with equal ease.

I weigh 92kgs and it is hard to find a high performance shortboard to suit that weight. This board paddles easy duckdives good and generates a lot of speed on the wave. I find my surfing has gone to a new level with this board doing things my older boards would not allow me. Worth checking out to add to your board collection.

this board is great. i transfered from a longer shape and it paddled just as fast as the 7 footer. it has a super fast ride and can make huge spray. perfect for small waves to overhead spitting barrels.

I just switched off of a S7 board, and i love this board. I shopped around, and demoed a ton of boards and this one was by far the best. Despite the fact that this board is thinner than my last one, it still catches smaller waves that we get on the West coast. I would reccomend this board to anyone who is looking to get a smaller, more performance oreinted board from what they have now. Trust me, at least demo it
