WEBBER MINI FISH BOARD INFO
Webber Mini Fish Logo
The Mini Fish uses very high volume for paddle and glide, but has curves which fit into, and grip onto the wave face. When fish shapes are too flat in rocker, or parallel in plan shape, they cannot be surfed naturally, because they are too straight for the curved parts of the wave. You have to surf the board not the wave.
The Mini Fish has deep double concaves and deep raked flexing twin fins, all of which allows the free curves to be fully utilized. Looseness without grip and drive is weak and twitchy. The Mini Fish is fast and free, but strong when on rail, to allow for surprisingly hard radical turns in small waves.
All boards are glassed with a 2 x 4oz and a 3 /4 length patch on the deck and 1 x 4oz bottom with a patch on the fin area. We give the boards the silky smooth Pro finish and they come standard with MR-TX fins.

CONSUMERS REVIEWS FOR THE WEBBER MINI FISH

billy from fl, usa says:

just wanted to drop you a line and tell you that after some head scratching i pulled the trigger and bought a mini fish. i live on the east coast of the u.s. and i thought this board would be interesting in the florida waves. after a little getting used to it i am happy to report that she is going wonderfully. i honestly was a little skeptical as i am a bigger guy. 6'1" x 98kgs. i bought the 6'0" and it is the perfect combo of size and volume for the gutless surf we have in summer. everyone i show it too is sort of blown away at the uniqueness of that design. from the twinnies to the vee to the thickness, all of it. in my 20+ yrs. in the water i have never ridden a twin and this thing flies! just wanted to say thanks for thinking a little outside the box and putting boards like this out there. we'll see how she goes when we get some size, should be interesting. keep up the good work. see ya.

Dominic from HI, USA says:

Thanks to Jason from GSI and Eddie from Surf N Sea, I picked-up the 6’3” SLX Webber Mini Fish 2 days ago. Yesterday, I rode it at one of the better outer reef breaks in Waikiki in 1-2ft rights, with the MR-TX twin fin set-up. First wave, the board felt really skatey. After a few more waves, I got tuned-in. Not surprisingly, the board was really loose and fast and I surfed as if I were back in my twenties! I’m 5’9” tall, 200 lbs, been surfing since 1974, and currently a weekend-only surfer for the past 6 years. The board is super responsive, instantly reacting to whatever I wanted it to do. Paddling was so easy that I was going after almost every wave that came in my direction. I stayed in the surf for 7 hours (5:30am – 12:30pm), but with this board it felt like only 4 hours of surfing! Can't wait to ride it in overhead surf, bury the rails and push it to its limits. Will pen a follow-up review after my next surf session.

Phil Kuss from Victoria, Australia says:

I bought the mini fish for smaller conditions, but recently surfed it in overhead surf in Victoria. I was concerned that it couldn't handle the steeper take offs, but was pleasantly surprised. Being so easy to paddle has increased my wave count and made it so much more fun. I'm now going to get myself The One for when it gets really big and sucky. Between these 2 boards I think I will have all conditions covered.

Will from Florida, USA says:

I have spent three months and $1,500 looking for a board that works for me for Florida surf. And let me tell you the mini fish is the equalizer! It comes with two goofy huge fins. After catching a few waves, using the fins, I ditched em and rode it as a tri and its perfect. I'm 210lbs and on this board I feel 90lbs. I can catch any wave and 1ft-head high. Even with a full body wetsuit. All I can say is BUY IT! You wont want anything else!

Pilichos Dimitrios from -, Greece says:

Hi Greg i am from Greece and before one month i took from England a mini fish 6.3 [i am intermediate and 85kilos]...i want to give you my congratulations for your design ..the best board ever for my skills you are the SHAPERRRRRR!!! I have 10 boards and no one gave me ever the feeling that i can surf from very flat to mushy 2 meters waves..finaly i found a board that i need many years to spend with Thanks bro i already ask all my friends to have one and find out the magic

H. O. Marquez from FL, US says:

I wanted to go shorter. I wanted volume and paddle. I wanted a performance board. I wanted a fish. I searched high and low and found nothing until the miniFish. I’ve had 5 sessions on her so far and can say without question that this board is amazing. It’s perfect for our 3’-6’ Central Florida junk. She’s super fast, turns hard and radical, skates right over flat sections and paddles like a dream. I’m 6’0” weigh 200lbs and I can catch just about anything on this board. I can hardly wait for our next 8’+ glassy power swell (hurricane season just over a month away). I can wholeheartedly recommend this board. Intermediate and advanced surfers will get totally stoked on this thing. Not a beginner board. ...I swear those huge red fins make my car look like Hell Boy. Quiver: Webber miniFish 6’3”, 7S Aussie Fish 6’7”, Quietflight StingFish 6’8”, Walden Mini Magic 7’6”.

Matt from NSW, Australia says:

The waves have been small where I live for the last couple of months so I wanted a board that would allow me to make the most of the conditions without having to go for a longboard. The 6'0 mini fish has done this perfectly. Because of all the extra volume I'm able to sit way out the back with the longboarders and pick off the sets before they reach the pack and yet when on the wave it is highly manouverable and really quick down the line. I've also ridden it on a few bigger cleaner days and it went great. With the big twin fins you can really drive around sections and do long drawn out sweeping turns on the open face. I also use a normal thruster set up sometimes which I found worked well in junky conditions. Overall a really versatile board that's a lot of fun to ride. Highly recommend it!
